I'll be heading from Zermatt to Murren in July and plan on taking the scenic train via Kandersteg.
Are there were any worthwhile scenic stop off points along the way? I'm in no huge rush to get to
Murren.

Kandersteg itself is worth a stop, especially if you have time to ride the gondola up to the lake ( Oeschinensee).
There are luggage lockers in the train station.

Thank you. I might just do that. I just read it’s roughly a 30min walk to the lake from the top of the gondola, so I’ll just need to allow for an hour of walking.
