Zermatt to Lugano: via Goschenen or Domodossola?

We will be traveling from Zermatt to Lugano in June. There are two rail options and both are lengthy: one through Goschenen (5:45 hours) and the other through Domodossola (5:20 hours). Is one more scenic that the other? Does anyone have a preference?
Thanks!

The Göschenen option follows the route of the scenic Glacier Express as far as Andermatt, but does not include the reputedly best part around Disentis. Then you transfer to the Gotthard pass route. I would have to check the map to see if you connect before or after the major tunnel. (Actually the tunnels on the Gotthard are not long; you do get glimpses of the peaks and hanging glaciers in between them).

The Domodossola route puts you on the scenic Centovalli railway from Domo to Locarno. I know people who have gone out of their way to take that train:

But to get to Domodossola you cross under the Alps in a long tunnel. That would decide it for me.

Göschenen is the northern portal of the Gotthard tunnel.

I'd go via Domodossola. The Centovalli railway (Domodossola-Locarno) is an interest complement to the alpine railways around Zermatt.
