We are traveling to Zermatt for a ski trip in early March, but I don't ski. What are your recommendations for things to keep me busy? I am active and like to hike. I'd consider day trips to nearby locations.

Winter hiking trails are usually really nice. I haven't done very many in this region, but it looks like there are quite a few.
