Our first time in Switzerland.
We will spend about 1 day in Zermatt (Sunday - Interlaken => Zermatt * Monday Zermatt => Geneva)
What should our itinerary be to get the best of our time there?

Jump on the Gornergrat train have lunch then hike down.

Yes, Gornergrat, and then at least hike down to the next train station, passing Riffelsee on the way. Map here:
