Will be arriving via glacier express 9/16 and departing 9/19. have been trying to book a Matterhorn view room but finding hotels either too pricey (800chf +) or unavailable. Looking to stay under 600chf/night. Guess I've waited too long to book. I've tried zermatterhof-unavailable and Cervin-too pricey. Like the looks of Hotel Julen and right in my price range but no view rooms available. Have looked at countless others, and not sure of location and uber modern doesn't really appeal to me, especially when the tub is right next to the bed. Would like a view with something centrally located so if weather doesn't cooperate we can at least roam around the town and have dining options other than hotel. I guess to put it short and sweet I need help on location and whether or not to give up view. I have booked Hotel Julen Chalet suite but no view. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I stayed at the BW Hotel Butterfly. Very nice. Just off the main drag but near the train station. Laundromat in the basement.

Looks like Hotel Couronne has a deluxe double with Matterhorn view available for your dates at $664 for 3 nights - that's on booking.com so may be less on their own website. Worth checking into.

Thanks. Hotel Butterfly is full. Looking for something slightly more upscale 600 a night 1800 for 3 nights with Matterhorn view. A friend told me not to focus on the view so much that the Matterhorn is obscured by weather most of the time. Thoughts?

Hotel Dufour Chalet is showing Matterhorn view with balcony. 564 CHF and is available for your dates. Stayed in the penthouse years ago and spectacular Matterhorn views.

Try the Hotel Perren; stayed there last March. Did have view of the Matterhorn. Remember depending on the day it can be covered by the clouds.
