Just got an unexpected trip to Geneva in early March. Most of the time will be spent at a conference, but looking for things to do for a couple of days. We have been to Switzerland a couple of times in the summer/fall, but never winter. Considered going to Zermatt or Chamonix, but I think we might just stay close to Geneva. Outside of the city thinking about Annecy and/or Lausanne. Any insight on things to do that time of year?
The obvious answer is to go skiing. Be aware that Geneva airport is an absolute madhouse on Saturdays during ski season.
Thanks Sam! I should have mentioned looking for something other than skiing! We live in Denver and ski every weekend and the time is too short on this trip for skiing in Switzerland or France.
There is a fabulous castle in Montreux. Lausanne should offer plenty for a couple days.
I just happened upon a webcam and it's a sunny day today--fingers crossed March will be equally lovely!
