Does anyone have suggestions for specific towns/ wineries/ shops to taste local wines in that region? Staying in Lausanne but thinking of biking, hiking, ?train/ bus/boat to Vevey but would love specific recommendations … thank you !

It did not work out due to weather/scheduling, but it sounded promising. If you google “wine tour Vevey” you’ll get a few options to compare.
The vineyards were so lovely in October, just passing by in the train, so you are in for a treat!

I stayed in Lausanne 2 years ago and took a self-guided vineyard walk...it was beautiful! We also took the train to Lavaux Vinorama for a tasting. They carry many of the local wines.

We did a self guided walk amidst the vineyards from Chexbres to St. Saphorin (so beautiful) and took a bus to this winery for an incredible tasting (the bus stops right outside the winery): https://henricruchon.ch/en/degustation-vin-biodynamique/
It's local, biodynamic (organic) wine and they really care about what they produce. It's worth going to a good one!
