Hi,
I will be travelling to Interlaken region from 9-May to 13-May. Need to decide between Wilderswil or Wengen for a stay. Will be booking an apartment, so not worried about restaurants being closed during the period.
I prefer Wengen. However, worried that if there could be black ice on the roads as I would be travelling with a kid and elderly person not accustomed to these conditions.
Any suggestions please?
You do not need to worry about black ice. If you are like me you worry more about pollen allergies. The place will be dripping in flowers. I hope you get good weather.
No ice on the roads in Wengen, but you do know the village is on a hillside so some of the walking paths are steep?

Wengen is much better. Pick an apartment as close to the train as possible to avoid hill walking. The first block below the train station with south facing balconies is the best in my opinion.
