We are arriving in Zurich the end of August and will take the train to Wengen and spend 3 nights there. I don't think we will go to Jungfrau. From Wengen we are going to spend 3 nights in Lucerne and would want to cruise the lake, go to Mt. Rigi and Mt. Pilatus. From Lucerne we are traveling to CT, staying in Levanto for 5 nights to give us the opportunity to travel to the other towns along the coast. This is not our first trip to Italy and we have driven there before. In saying that, I was thinking of taking the train from Lucerne to Como ( have been to the Lake Como area), renting a car and driving the rest of the way to Levanto. Our hotel has parking. I know it is easy to use the train system to visit the towns along the coast however we like the freedom to explore with a car. Plus we are leaving from Milan and could drop the car off at MXP. We are staying at hotel near MXP the night before our departure.
Thoughts about which travel pass to purchase since we are also traveling internationally and secondly about traveling from Lucerne to Levanto would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
You might get a Swiss Half Fare Card. You don't need a rail pass for italy.
You might re-arrange the order this way so you are not back tracking

Wengen 3 nights
Wengen to Varenna (Lake Como)
Drive to Levanto
Jazz+Travels, thanks for the quick reply. I thought about rearranging the itinerary but hotel reservations are already made and the departure date is getting close so rates will be higher or no availability. I will get the Swiss Half Off Travel Pass. Thanks again!
