We are traveling from Lausanne to Wengen and have purchased the half price pass in 2 weeks. We’re trying to decide whether to go for the Golden Pass scenic train. Number or changes seems to be the same (?) and the Golden Pass would be more expensive but is it more scenic? Any opinions welcomed.

The Golden Pass route will take almost 2 hours longer due to mountain railways vs the relatively flat route via Bern. The extra 2.50 CHF added cost with the HFC is rather trivial. The Golden Pass route is much more scenic.
It's scenic, but nothing compared to the scenery around Wengen. I find it a bit overrated in terms of scenic train rides. Personally I'd just get to Wengen faster and enjoy more time with the scenery there.
