Question about Swiss pass and seat reservations -
Since we are only going to be in Switzerland for three days, we were wondering which pass, if any would be the best.
Our itinerary is tight:
Wednesday - toward end of October - Garmish to Innsbruck - stop for lunch and walk around a little, then on to Zurich or Lucerne for the afternoon and night (have already been to both).
Thursday morning - train to Interlaken to connect to Wengen for a few hours. Since everything will basically be closed, we won't stay the night. We will walk around, try and get good photos, of course, all weather permitting. Then late afternoon we will head back down toward Thun, Bern or Basel. (Been to Thun, and just through Bern and Basel) Suggestions welcome here.
Friday - we will spend the day wherever we end up at - or perhaps do another day trip somewhere . Wengen of course is weather permitting as is the Schilthorn. Otherwise we may spend the day designated for Wengen elsewhere.- if weather is bad.
Friday night or Saturday morning we will take the train and head to Paris.
Know it sounds tight, but we have been to Switzerland several times already, just never did Wengen or Lauterbrunnen, etc.
Another question: We cannot figure out how to book the Golden Pass train between Lucerne and Interlaken. Can this be done at the station day of?
Thanks for any input
