Which Swiss pass for my trip?

I know there’s so many posts about this and I have read and read but I am still so confused. We (2 adults, 2 kids ages 8 and 12) will be taking the train from Paris to Wengen on 30 June, exploring the area, then 3 days later, taking the train from Wengen to Füssen. I am confused if the half fare card will save us any money as part of train rides both ways won’t be in Switzerland. Secondary question is whether we need to buy an additional pass such as Jungfrau or Oberland? Wondering if the HFC covers what we’d want to do and an additional pass isn’t needed OR if the HFC won’t save us much does it make more sense to pay regular fare and get Jungfrau or etc pass?

While down in Wengen we will probably do Kleine Scheidegg, Grindelwald, maybe First, Murren, maybe Schilthorn (not sure), Stechelberg, maybe some lake cruises/Harder Kleman or Schynige Platte. This is all still being planned but just to give you an idea of possible activities.

Greatly appreciate anyone who can shed some light on this. TIA!

Since you don't say what exact time year and the places you want to go are not open all year round or on a set schedule and weather conditioned dependant just go with a Swiss Half Fare Card. But buy it or any other pass with a live person when you get there at the airport. They are experts at getting you the pass or passes you need based on the number in your group and what you say you want to do during your stay. i have never bought a pass online in advance in five trips over the last 8 years. I'd only do it if there was a sale and I was going in July when the sun has had the most time to dry stuff at higher elevations.

We’re flying into Paris next week, 27 June and will be there a few days before heading down to Switzerland as mentioned in my original post. I had thought I probably need to pre-book for the TVG and etc down to Wengen therefore would need to buy the HFC now, if using.

Thanks. I tried that but it didn’t seem to be showing a difference. I wasn’t sure if that’s because I didn’t have a pass entered or because there isn’t a discount. But I’m thinking that it would knock off my kids fares at the very least as they travel free on the HFC…

Just book TGV Paris to Basel separately.
Basel is a major hub with a Swiss Rail clear English speaking and understanding live person ticket office.
Swiss trains do not require reservations or advanced tickets. They are fixed priced public everyday Joe go to work mass transit routes, unlike TGV or IC (Intercity) trains in France.
