Hi. I will be travelling from Cinque Terre in Italy to Murren, Switzerland in August. I plan to purchase a Swiss Travel Pass for the days I will be in Switzerland, and point to point tickets in Italy. The train itinerary will take me through Milan. Will the Swiss Travel Pass take effect in Milan (my last stop in Italy) or when I cross the border? If at the border, I can't figure out which station to purchase my ticket to as my destination when searching on the TrenItalia site.
I appreciate any guidance.
