We are planning a 14-day hiking trip to the Jungfrau region staying in Murren. Considering that we will have to take a round trip train from the Zurich airport to the Jungfrau region and then roam around from Murren to Lauterbrunen, Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg and Grindelwald area for hiking plus maybe a trip up to the Jungfraujoch, what is the best overall pass to purchase for all of that? Lifts will definitely be an issue with Murren as our home base. The majority of our hikes will be just out our front door in Murren but we will explore other areas for hiking.
With 14 days all in Murren, do what we do - the unlimited summer pass + half fare card. We spend our summers living in Murren and it’s what we do. Jungfraujoch is free. Schilthorn is free. It’s meant for locals but around 14 days it starts to make sense.
It’s 449chf + 120chf for the half fare card, so total of 569chf + half fare ticket from Interlaken to Zurich and it’s going to cover basically everything you do.

Are all the lifts including with the unlimited Jungfrau pass?
If you zoom in on the map at the link I put in the post it shows what is included. Cable cars to Murren, Schilthorn, Mannlichen, First, etc.
Thanks wanderweg! Where do I purchase the half fare card?
Wanderweg, I found it. If the one way train pass from Zurich to Interlachen is only 50-60 chf, and we were only interested in exploring the Jungfrau region, would there be any point in purchasing the half fare card in addition to the Jungfrau unlimited pass?
Yes - the half fare card is 120chf, but it gives you a 100chf discount on the Unlimited Pass + 50% off your ticket to/from Zurich. If you’re going there and back that’s around 80 chf each way (40 chf each way with half fare card). So in that scenario you’ve paid 120 chf to save 180 chf, so you’re 60 chf in the green. And then if you happen to decide to do anything during your 14 days beyond Interlaken (boat ride, Brienz, whatever) you’ll get 50% off those things. But even if you don’t, you’ve still saved 60 chf by having the HFC.
Note that as of this summer the "unlimited Summer Pass" also covers the bus from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg. Previously I always had to buy a ticket for that. Guess I'll be getting my Schwarzmönch beer in Gimmelwald even more often now.
The cost of the Schilthorn & Jungfraujoch plus flexibility to go places all 14 days is going to make up for it. We had relatives visit us in Murren last summer for 2 weeks and tested it out on them and it was more than worth it. The only way the 10 day BO pass works out is if you don’t go to the Schilthorn or Jungfraujoch and you want 4 days of little to no movement on the front or backend of your trip, which I doubt.
