What is a good boating option in Luzern

We arrive this evening spending three nights there and would like to do one of the lake cruises and would love to hear any opinions on any good ones and any other tips. Thx

Do you have Swiss Passes you can use? If so, I would recommend the full Rigi loop: boat from Luzern to Vitznau, , cogwheel ,train to the top at Rigi Kulm, spend some time there ( maybe lunch in the restaurant). Then depending by train to Rigi Kaltbad, maybe take an easy level hike there, then descend by cablecar to Weggis on the lake. Walk through town to the boat dock and catch another boat back to Luzern.

The whole journey is fully covered with the Swiss Pass.

You can also get the Tell Pass for that area. It covers boats, buses, cable cars, etc. in the Luzern region.

I neglected to,post the link:

If you have the time and the inclination, you could stop at the Mineralbad Spa at Rigi Kaltbad before taking the cablecar down to Weggis. Admission to the spa is 38 CHF, not bad since your transport up and down the mountain and across the lake if free with your Swiss Pass.

I am not much one for spas, but I find that outdoor pool irresistible. I might try to find a way to include that in our next trip.

Hi

My husband and I did a 1-hour cruise in Lucerne on a panoramic yacht. Incase you want to do this make sure you find yourself a comfortable spot on the upper deck, in the restaurant, or on the main deck. The journey was very scenic and we cruised towards Meggenhorn Castle, Bürgenstock, Richard Wagner Museum and back to Lucerne. We downloaded the audio guide "Listen Everywhere" app from Google Play (don't forget to do it).

Have great trip.

We just walked along the dock there and looked at all the signs offering cruises, and picked the one that best fit our schedule. But I like the idea of taking the ferry and getting off at one of its stops for lunch and a look round.
