Wengen to Zurich Airport

We are staying in Wengen At the Hotel Alpenroses for two nights. After the two nights we are wanting to get to Zurich Airport for a Swissair Flight to Naples departing at 12:10 p.m. A couple of questions? The day we have to be at the airport should we take the train to the airport or take a limo service to get there. From Wengen to Interlakken are we going to have a problem with transfers that early in the morning. Thanks I cant seem to find any info on the train service between the two places.

There is no need for a super expensive limo when SBB will get you there very efficiently with very frequent trains.
You can leave Wengen at 7:03 and be at Zurich airport at 10:16, plenty of time for European flight at 12:30.

Now I know you are going to squawk about the 6 minute transfer time at Interlaken Ost. You should be able to make it, but if you don't make that connection, there is another train to Bern at 8:30 that will get you to Zurich airport by 10:42.

If you are extra cautious, leave Wengen by 6:03 and not have to worry about missing any connections and get to the airport in plenty of time.

Thanks for the train info. We may leave Wengen early. 6 minute transfer might be to much stress. LOL!!! Thanks

I agree with Sam, that is no way "early in the morning". Train is the fast and easy way. No problem, no risk.
And, Wengen is car-free, so you would need to get a train for the first leg in Lauterbrunnen before you could pick up a car.
The following trains will all get you to Zürich airport in plenty of time (times from: http://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html ):

Wengen depart 05:12, Zürich Flughafen arrive 08:16
Wengen depart 05:38, Zürich Flughafen arrive 08:42
Wengen depart 06:05, Zürich Flughafen arrive 09:16
Wengen depart 06:42, Zürich Flughafen arrive 09:42
Wengen depart 07:03, Zürich Flughafen arrive 10:16

How are you getting to Wengen and from where?

6 minute transfer might be to much stress.

Oh no it isn't. It is normal. These are trains, not airports, Just walk from one train to another. The second train is sitting waiting for the passengers from the first train.

You have convinced me about transferring from one train to the other. Thanks. We are coming from Lucern to Interlaken by the Panorama train. We will look around Interlaken then head to Wengen. We have one full day in Wengen. What should we do. Breakfast and dinner is included with our hotel.

We just returned from our trip to Wengen last night. We had a 1:00 flight out of Zurich and decided to take the 6:00 am train from Wengen to allow for any missed transfers. Everything went smoothly and we arrived at the Zurich airport with time to get something to eat and do some shopping. Bern was the busiest of the three transfer stations.

Just make sure you're at the exit door of the train, with your luggage, so when the door opens you are ready to go!

Enjoy Wengen. It's beautiful!!
