Wengen or Murren, choose one for 4 nights or 2 nights each?

Current itinerary for mid June:
Day 1: Geneva to Bern
Day 2: Bern to Luzern
Day 3: Luzern to Murren (Hotel Alpina)
Day 4: Murren
Day 5: Wengen (Hotel Sonnenhof)
Day 6: Wengen
Day 7: Bike Lauterbrunnen Valley and train back to GVA

My family of 4 adults want to explore both sides the valley. Is it better to stay in one place for 4 nights? Is it worth the transportation cost to go over and back again two of the days?
I could book Hotel Alpenblick Murren first floor family apartment all four nights (three night minimum).
Also, we haven’t been to Bern, two have not visited Luzern, however I do realize it adds quite a bit of train travel to see them both.
Many thanks for advice.

I see no reason to pull up stakes just to go across the valley. Nice room in Muerren, take it.

It would relax your itinerary if you could stay 2 nights in Murren, 2 nights in Lucerne and just stop off in Bern to see the old town on the way to Murren, or when returning to Geneva. You can visit Wengen while staying In Murren. Moving every night will wear thin quickly.

Another thought, we arrive in GVA at 9:45am. Can we make a short stop in Bern to see the Old Town and continue on to Luzern to stay two nights there? Too much on Day 1?

I think will be very tired when you arrive in Bern.
