Wengen or Murren, choose one for 4 nights or 2 nights each?

I see no reason to pull up stakes just to go across the valley. Nice room in Muerren, take it.

It would relax your itinerary if you could stay 2 nights in Murren, 2 nights in Lucerne and just stop off in Bern to see the old town on the way to Murren, or when returning to Geneva. You can visit Wengen while staying In Murren. Moving every night will wear thin quickly.

Another thought, we arrive in GVA at 9:45am. Can we make a short stop in Bern to see the Old Town and continue on to Luzern to stay two nights there? Too much on Day 1?

You will not regret staying at Hotel Alpenblick. My family of 3 stayed in the triple room. A very friendly couple owns it.

I agree, stay in just one place. You have an awful lot of moving around for a single weeks trip.

It is so easy to get from Murren to Wengen or vice versa.

I assume that you know that the Hotel Sonnenhof is a long walk out of Wengen village?

Yes, I did see Hotel Sonnenhof is a 15 minute walk from town. My husband and I stayed in Wengen in 2023 and walked by the hotel.
