Wengen or Grindelwald?

I'll be traveling to Switzerland in early June next year with my family of four (kids ages 9 & 10). I hear great things about both Wengen and Grindelwald. Does it matter where we choose to stay? We'll definitely do hikes, paraglide and will want to see things near both areas. I would love some help deciding!
Thank you.

I’m not a fan of Grindelwald. It’s too busy with people and cars. I’d stay in the car free Wengen or Murren.

I was just in Wengen which we absolutely loved - but should we go back I think I would like to experience and stay in grindelwald (we spent time hiking in the area during our visit and I just loved the landscape and views). I’m realizing I like staying in areas with a lot of green meadow in addition to stunning mountain scenery (probably why I like certain valleys in the Dolomites so much). So if you have those type of preferences that might also be a factor to consider. But Wengen was incredible- no complaints and you can’t go wrong! Small and car free was nice.

Wengen. To visit crowded Grindelwald, you can very easily take the trams from Wengen and enjoy the views along the way. And you will want to take the kids up to the zip line and toboggan run above Grindelwald. Our grandkids loved them.

Another option, take the tram from Wengen up to Mannlichen, let the kids enjoy the neat playground up on top then hike the cow path trail down toward Grindelwald. Lots of kids size activities along the hike, cow bells to ring, alp horn to blow, small zip line.
