Wengen 4 day itinerary

Here is what we are planning to do during our 4 days in Wengen. Early September.

Day 1-Train Lucerne to Wengen, check in, Lauterbrunnen and waterfalls (stay in Wengen)

Day 2-Grindelwald first, Bachalpsee, Trottibikes to Grindelwald; BRIENZ? (Wengen)

Day 3-Schilthorn, Murren-Northface, Grimmelwald (Wengen)

Day 4-Männlichen; Royal walk; Hike to Kleine Scheidegg - Panorama trail 3 miles; back to Wengen, check out; Train to Zurich (Zurich)

On day 2, do you think we can go to Grindelwald First in the morning, then Brienz in the afternoon? If not Brienz, would you recommend somewhere else?

Based on what I have read on this very helpful forum, it seems that the Swiss Half Fare Card + Berner Overland Pass would make the most sense for our itinerary. Do you agree?

It's a lot, but the Mannlichenbahn should be operating, and the trail from there to KS only takes about 1 1/2 hours, mostly bc you're stopping to revel in the views. :)

Brienz might be a little tricky because you've got to go all the way back into Interlaken from Grindelwald, but it's doable. I recommend taking the boat from Interlaken Ost if possible. The trip is relaxing and beautiful, taking about an hour. Then you can hop the train back to Interlaken Ost and change to get back to Lauterbrunnen/Wengen.

I'm tentatively planning my fifth trip back to this area in early September 2026, too. Maybe we'll cross paths!
