I have crunched the numbers a hundred times for the train passes, and it is all so complicated!
We will be traveling from Milan to Wengen and staying in Wengen for 7 days then returning to Milan (probably via the scenic route through Lucerne - is that the best choice?)
We are a party of 5 adults, 2 children, and 2 babies. I have concluded that I am almost positive the Berner Oberland Regional pass makes the most sense for us at $350 each, but I just saw that with a Half Fare Card we get an additional 25% off of our BO Regional Pass. With the discount this gives us on the trip to and from the Berner Oberland area, it seems like it is the cheapest to buy both the Half Fare Card and the Berner Oberland Pass. Is this often the case, or am I totally missing something??
Thanks for your advice!!!
