I'm staying two nights in Weggis before beginning Switzerland tour in Lucerne. Will I be able leave Weggis Monday morning, ditch my bag somewhere along the way, enjoy Mt. Pilatus (and luge), and be at hotel in Lucerne by 5:00 p.m.? It looks doable but just wanted to see other's reactions.

www.sbb.ch/en will give you all of the available connections and time from Weggis -> Pilatus -> Lucerne. The routing takes you through Lucerne on your way to Pilatus so you'll be able to drop your bags in the luggage lockers in Lucerne station.
