Walks with the most trees in Berner Oberland region

We will probably be staying a few days somewhere in the Berner Oberland region on our upcoming 22 days on the ground trip to Switzerland (August-September), and in researching hikes in the region Lauterbrunnen, Wengen Murren was wondering what walks wandered through the most forested area or at least has the most trees along it. Perhaps "forested" isn't the right term as it seems from photos that alot of the area isn't too forested due to elevation.

We liked Holstein to Brandegg, along a ridge and lots of trees as well as fields of wildflowers. You can get there by gondola to Mannlichen and then small lift to Holstein. Have very fond memories of this hike.

The trail from Murren to Gimmelwald and then down to the valley floor is heavy on trees and easy to do.

If you don’t mind a little further out, the area around the Ballenberg open-air museum looked to be forestry as did the walk from the Giessbach Hotel to Ostwald. I have both on my itinerary for June. I can report back and let you know how forestry they are. 😊

Grutschalp to Murren has some forest areas and meadows. You are correct, the higher you are the least amount of trees.

As FastEddie suggested, if you head down from Gimmelwald to Stechelberg, there are plenty of trees. Also some of the other walks around there (Sefinental, Im Tal) are through the woods. Some of these hikes are more intensive than others though, so depends on your fitness etc.
In Wengen, you can walk through the Wengwald below the village.
On the valley floor, the walk from Zweilutschinen to Lauterbrunnen along the river has a lot of tree cover too.

Rob, the more tree cover the less mountain grandeur vistas you get 😕

EDIT: my favorite walk/hike so far in the alps has been the Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg walk. I know it’s touristy but every step of the way was jaw dropping and without trees on the sunny day we were there in 2018.

Thanks for insights everyone. I'm also looking at all trails site for photos. I like the forested sections for variety as well as the parts with amazing views.

My best pictures are from Allmendhubel above Murren. Mannlichen with the cows and the mountains. The outside of Thun castle. Gimmelwald. The lion monument and sunrise over the Chapel bridge in Lucerne. Scenery from the train going up Mt. Rigi.

Compared to the mountains, I thought all my pictures of the old towns of Lucerne, Bern, and Zurich were sort of blah. Before my trip, I was really looking forward to the old towns, but turns out i'm a mountain girl. 😊

Check out YouTube. People video their hikes now, especially in Switzerland.

The walk down from Gimmelwald to Stechelberg is mostly treed except for the spot with the best view of the Lauterbrunnen Valley:

One of my favourite is Wengen to Wengeralp via Bigglenalp. The first part is through dense forest, with a few very spectacular viewpoints over the Lauterbrunnen valley. The remainder has quite a bit of woods too. The last stretch is through Alpine meadows though. As you get higher that is unavoidable.
