Visiting Pilatus when Cog NOT Operating

Would love to visit Pilatus, but traveling in April before Cog train begins working for season. Tips for best route? It looks like there are Gondolas and Cable Cars to different sections. Suggestions greatly appreciated!

Really quite simple. You can take a public bus from Luzern to Kriens and then take the panorama gondola and aerial tramway to the top. Here's a link with more information. The views on the cableway as well as the mountain are breathtaking. Enjoy the trip!

Philip is right, that's the route we went. If the cog railway isn't operating you just have to come back down the same way - gondola and aerial tram.

Yep, no problem. Bus from Luzern Train/Bus(/Museum) is, at most, a 15 min ride to Kriens (pronounced kree-INS). Then a 2-person gondola (to Fraekmuentegg) and a 50-person cablecar from there to Pilatus. Reverse to go home!
