Visiting Mürren for second time in October

We're planning our second trip to Mürren sometime in October 2019, as part of a larger trip to the region. Last time we visited in July, when the weather was warm and sunny, and there was cattle everywhere.

Does anybody know when the cows are brought down from the nearby fields for the winter? They were a special part of the last trip and I'd hate to miss them again.

And, any insights on the weather during this period? Does it snow this early? Is it freezing weather, or does that come later?

Thanks,
Bobby

We were in Murren the first week in Oct 2017. Woke up to a half inch of snow. It was a bit slippery walking around town but no problem. The weather warmed up later in the day and we enjoyed a sunny week of hiking. Day trippers but very quiet and uncrowded in the evening. Love Murren!!

It can also snow in late May and early June...no blizzards but you definitely can get snow. So no surprise that October is the same way. The cows come down whenever the weather conditions dictate.
