Can somebody recommend some viewpoints in Lucerne where I can take pictures back over the City. Should I just head for the wall and the towers and see what I like?

The towers would also be my first try. You get a nice view of the city from Mt. Rigi, but it's at a distance.

The walls don't actually give much of a view.
Anywhere on the lakeside or riverside, or from a lake boat.
