Looking to arrive in Zurich May 18, 2020 then train to the Vaud region. I looked at staying in Vevey, but found maybe Chexbres to be a little cuter/more charming (and less expensive for Airbnbs). In our couple of days in that area, we'd be looking to walk the wine trail, then visit Broc and Gruyeres. Any tips or comments on Chexbres vs. Vevey? Will the wine trail be pretty to walk that time of year? Any wineries open for tours then or are we too early? I prefer not to take the tourist Chocolate train, but unsure of ease of transportation in that Broc/Gruyeres area without having a car.
