I sprained my ankle in Stresa two days ago and I’m trying to give my it the rest and ice it needs to recover (my trip still has three weeks to go) with seeing at least some things.
I arrived in Vevey today and am adjusting my plans for my stay here. It’s killing me because I love to wander around anyplace I visit; however, I go on to the Lauterbrunnen Valley in three days and I’m hoping to be much improved by then.
I’m looking at how to revise my plans while I’m here and am wondering about Chateau Chillon. Not so much getting there - worst case I’ll take a taxi part of the way. But are there lots of steps and are they at all hazardous to climb? If I wanted to minimize steps, would there still be enough to see?
I also thought I’d be okay visiting Ouchy in Lausanne, but maybe skipping the old town. And I planned to do a “Chocolate train in reverse” using trains and buses, but now Im thinking of booking the actual Chocolate Train if there’s still space to simplify the travel.
I’d appreciate advice!
