Verbier to Interlaken

Hello -

My husband and I will be skiing with a group of friends this March in Verbier. At the back end of our trip, I would like to take my husband to Interlaken. I had the best time there as a backpacking college kid and want to revisit for a few days. We are not planning on renting a car (or hoping not to). What's the best way to get to Interlaken from Verbier? Thanks so much for your help.

www.sbb.ch/en will show you the way. A few train changes along the way, but doable.
A little less than 3 hours starting at Verbier, Medran to take the the lift down to Le Chable train station.

As long as you have ski clothes and equipment, why stop at Interlaken? A couple more trains and you are at Wengen and can take some runs there.

PS, last time I skied Verbier, the trip theme was "Y2K in Verbier".

Oh boy. Thanks so much. We're actually starting in Cham and then 8 days in Verbier. I thought about Interlaken because I have such found memories of a lost weekend there (a long time ago). Maybe we'll rethink! Thanks so much.

Do you mean Cham on Lake Zug? From there to Interlaken (and thence up the hill) is easy, via Luzern and over the very scenic (even more so in the snow) Brünig Pass is a very easy trip.

Sorry for any confusion. Starting in Chamonix and then onto Verbier. We have three nights after Verbier and are thinking of going to Interlaken but now considering Wegen or perhaps Murren. Thanks.
