We are contemplating a trip in September from Venice to Switzerland to Munich. We would have 10 days to travel in the area. We think we would spend 2-3 days in Venice then 4-5 days in Switzerland and finish in Munich area for 2-3 days. Any suggestions on an itinerary? Places to stay, how to travel. It is my husband and I. We are in our 60's and physically fit in good health. We enjoy scenery and historical places.

You could do Venice, Austria & Munich in 10 days a lot better with direct trains the whole time and you’d fit a lot more time for enjoyment in.
Venice 2 nights > Innsbruck 2-3 nights > Salzburg 3 nights > Munich 2 nights
If Switzerland is a non negotiable, then you’ll spend the better part of a day getting from Venice to Switzerland and then again a better part of a day getting to Munich, which takes 2 days away from a short trip. Also with multiple train changes. Maybe something like…
