In October I will be traveling from Varenna Italy to Lugano Switzerland, and would like to take the quick ferry/bus trip west rather than the long train ride via Milan. A regular ferry can get me across the lake from Varenna to Menaggio. The RS Italian Lakes guide mentions a bus stop near the La Provincial bar in Menaggio, but the RS Switzerland guide has a link to asfaustolinee.com which shows the bus stop at the AFS Autolinee station on Piazza Roma quite a few blocks north. Might anyone have recently done this connection and know the current bus stop and place to get a ticket? Thanks.
