Using the train or PostBuses to travel through Family Heritage areas in Emmental region

HI,

My family came from the Emmental region a LONG time ago. Towns like Sumiswald, Ruderswil, Lauperswil, Langnau, Steffinsburg, Oberhofen, Belp..... I don't necessarily need to stop, but I thought it would be great to go on a bus or train (or mix) in the areas of my ancestors on my way from Geneva (through Bern) to Thun (where a relative also lived....1600's).

Is there an easy way or site (Postal Bus/train) to map out a course that goes through these areas so I can pick a few that might be on the way to Thun?
