One Quick questions which I cannot find and answer to online. Some Swiss cable cars, etc. offer a discount to Eurail pass holders, my question is: Does using the card for a discount use up one of your travel days on your pass. I would like to use the pass for one certain discount but it would not be worth burning one of my paid for travel days to do so. My guess is that it does take a day off, but I thought I should ask.
Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

Services that offers a % discount do not use a counted travel day on a Flexi-style of Eurail Pass. That is only the case on the Swiss Travel Card (which recently changed that function to be different from any other rail pass and different from their own previous history). Trains and lake boats that are fully covered do start use of a counted travel day.
