Flights are a good price right now from Phoenix to Zurich and Paris to Phoenix on Air Canada through Montreal. Has anyone went through Canada to Europe from US? Is it difficult or a pain? I assume you go through customs twice. Just curious. Never done that route. Thank you.

You would go through immigration in Canada and US. Customs in US, usually a walk by unless you purchased a lot of luxury goods.

If you return home through Montreal you would preclear US Customs and Immigration there.

Is 1 hour 40 minutes enough time in Canada before leaving for Zurich? We will not have checked bags, just carry on.
