I'll be traveling with 3 others in June, and we are considering car rental vs. swiss travel pass. We'll be going from Zurich to Interlaken and back, with day trips around Interlaken. A factor that might tip us one way or the other is the availability of uber for day trips to places like Grindelwald/Schloss Oberhofen/Gelmerbahn Funicular, etc. We were in Italy recently and when we weren't walking, we used uber and it was very convenient, but I hear that uber isn't as prevalent in Italy. Thanks for any input.

The way to get around the Interlaken area is train and cable car (to get up the mountains). This will be more convenient than uber or any other type of taxi.
Cars cannot climb the mountains, there re no roads up mountains. Trains and cable cars can.
