my wife and I will take two weeks in switzerland next late spring, likely may or into june. we'd like a week in andermatt, and a week in one other area in the alps, what are you suggestions? we've been to wengen, and grindewold, and loved them both. we will have an auto rental. suggestions about regions/lodging, all will be helpful. nicholas

Bettmeralp is a car free Village on the other side of the Aletsch Glacier from the Jungfrau Region but late May might be a bit early to really enjoy there. Not sure when their summer cable cars for good hiking open, so you’d want to check that. In my opinion mid-late June is a much better choice for visiting the Alps as the weather isn’t super great in May in the Alps. You could also look into areas around Kandersteg or Meiringen or if you want warmer weather stay down around one of the lakes.

Meiringen is a great idea.
Also consider Pontresina in the Engadine, near St. Moritz but more charming. Late May or into June better than earlier…
