Two questions: Trip to Yvoire and Can you search this forum?

I'm helping my mom and sister (50th bday celebration) plan a Switzerland trip. They arrive September 7 (early) to Geneva and will spend the night. They wanted to visit Yvoire on the 8th. Is the CGN boat their only choice? I have a PDF of their fall schedule and found it tricky to read. Looks like it leaves Geneva 10:15 am and arrives Yvoire 11:57 am. Or, 2:30 pm and arrive 3:50 pm.

Also, is there a way to search this forum for everything written on Yvoire or Luzern?

Thank you!

I’m not suitable for answering your boat question, but for searching:

On the main Rick Steves Website page, type in a key search topic word or words. The you can filter by type (travel Forum). You may get a lot of older posts, as they don’t seem to come in chronological order, but there’s also a filter for age of info. I’ve found it to be a bit hit and miss, but you may be able to zeronin on just what you’re looking for. Happy birthday to the celebrant!

Regarding the search function. On a desktop or laptop you can find the search bar in a grey box at the top of the page. If on a handheld or similar, there are 5 parallel horizontal lines on the top left hand corner. Tap the lines to pull up the main menu including the search box.

Searching is a pain in the behind. Once you have a list, you can't filter any of it. What use is 11 year old information?...and that is the kind of age that the posts for the first few pages have. Maybe you can narrow down the search words, but I would love someone to correct me about not being able to filter or sort.

To see the newest posts: after putting in your search terms, there will be a selector for blogs, articles and forum; pick one then your choices are under 6 months, under 12 months, under 2 years and >2 years.

Regarding the boat trip to Yvoire, they could also take the train to Nyon and then the boat from there. That might be quicker and there might be more boats. Plus, Nyon is also nice to walk around.
