I pieced together a plan but one connection only allows 5 minute to get from train in Arona to bus from Arona to Domodosalla. I'm assuming many may be getting same bus connection due to the shut down of train lines forcing use of bus BUT I am insane to think I can make a 5 minute connection? I'm already stressing...

Don't worry. The bus(es) will leave once everyone has made the transfer...

The way this works usually is that a bunch of busses are waiting for an incoming train, then people are loaded on those busses and they are then dispatched. The aim is to get you to your destination, not to break punctuality records...
But an interesting alternative you may consider is getting to Lugano first (ferry to Bellaggio, then bus) and form there to Locarno and on to Domodossola.

I believe you mean ferry to Menaggio, directly across Lake Como from Varenna.
