Hello! Has anyone else had difficulty getting a response to reservation inquiries from hotels in Montreux? For all other cities I’ve received responses no later than 2 days after my inquiry, usually by the first day. Not one hotel in Montreux has responded. It seems strange.
Hotels generally have online booking engines , have you tried that approach ?
I encountered delayed lodging responses for the Montreux area as well. The delays were due to one of the hotels permanently closing before my travel dates and the other (hostel) closes annually until around March or so. I did eventually hear from both.
As steven said, just book online via the hotel’s website. This way you get an immediate email confirmation of the reservation.
What hotel(s) are you trying to book?
Yes, I always book through a hotel’s webpage or email address. I think “min” hit the nail on the head when suggesting some hotels still may be closed for the winter. I’m hoping to hear back in March re my inquiries. In the meantime, I think I’ll book something cancelable on a booking site just to be safe until I can book exactly what I want at a hotel I prefer.
I booked my hotel in Montreux in November 2021 for September 2022 .
