Traveling to Lucerne from Milan via train and 4 days stay

Hi friends,
I'll visit part of Switzerland end of this month with my family for 4days. We are 2 adults, 2 seniors and 2 kids. We have booked hotel at Lucerne. From Milan we'll catch train to reach Lucerne as early as possible so that we can get second half of the day to roam at Lucerne. We haven't buy ticket till now. We want to buy Swiss pass online for 4 consecutive days and here the confusion starts. Morning train schedule shows there is a change at Arth-Goldau. My questions are :
1. during online buying ticket through SBB ticket shop which drop down menu i should opt for swiss pass consession?
2. Where I should validate our swisspass?
Next, we have the plan to go Zurich and Bern for half day city tour each ... may be in 2 different days. Want to go Mount Titlis cliff walk, is it advisable to go there along with kids and seniors?
We'll visit interlaken, Gimmelwald and want to get a view of Trumellbach or staubbach falls. I read in this forum that it is very slippery, so I'm thinking again.

I am now finalising our day to day tour Itinerary and seeking your suggestions very eagerly.
Thanks for your patience to go through my post.

How old are the kids? If under 16, they travel free when you get a free Family Card with your Swiss passes. If you are starting in Milan, the train crew will switch at the Swiss border. Ask the conductor who boards to validate your passes.

Sorry, but I did not understand your first question about "consessions from the drop down menu".
Can I assume you mean the 4 items, Swiss Pass, Swiss Saver Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, and Swiss Saver Flexi Pass?
