Travel to Lucerne from Colmar

Family of 4 (2 older kids) will be taking the train late October TO LUCERNE FROM COLMAR

Although a short trip we didn’t want to miss Lucerne!

THURS/FRI/SAT Ideas - Chapel Bridge, Interlaken train ride, Mt Rigi cogwheel, boat around Lucerne Lake, Mount Pilatus ferry ride/gondola ride/Mount Titlis gondola/cable

Any guidance on trains? Ok for ideas of things to do?

Taking train to Salzburg after this for a few days.

Thank you!

Download the SBB app. I think you'll be busy enough in charming Lucerne, which is delightful to walk around and have drinks outside along the river.
Don't forget about watching the sunset from Mt Stanserhorn, which takes 45 minutes from the Lucerne train station to the summit. You go up in a Cabrio open air cable car- just fantastic. All covered by the STP.
The trip to Mt Rigi involves an hour boat ride and then the cogwheel train up, and is completely covered by the STP. It was a half day trip for us, usually best in the mornings, when it's usually clearer.
Now you can research which Swiss Travel Pass, or Half- Fair card is best for your adventures- that always a challenge.
You may want to join Facebook groups for Lucerne for on-the- ground info.
Have a wonderful trip in this beautiful country!
