If you are on original Medicare, Medicare does not cover foreign medical expenses. If you have Medicare Supplemental or Advantage, check your foreign medical coverage. Same if you are on other insurance plans, check foreign coverage.

Medical and medical evacuation are the more important coverages in my opinion. The other losses are more of an annoyance and inconvenience compared to suffering a major medical event and needing evacualtion back to the States on a medical charter.
