Travel in Switzerland

I'm booked for a 9 day hiking trip around Mt. Blanc in early September which includes, France, Switzerland and Italy. My return flight back to the states is from Geneva. I'd like to add an additional week traveling in Switzerland to include key tourist destinations such as Jungfraujoch, Zermatt, Lake Lucerne, Bernina Express, etc. I know I can't do it all, but can someone advise me as to a possible itinerary, hitting some high points? Thanks.

I would do 4-5 days in Berner Oberland staying in Lauterbrunnen or Lauterbrunnen Valley. Options up into the mountains a bit would be Murren and Wengen. I would also do 2-3 days in Luzern. BO would give you an awesome Swiss mountain experience and Luzern more of a city experience. Luzern is charming and very scenic. It sits on a river and a lake and is surrounded by mountains. You'll already have been in the mountains, but I really enjoyed a trip up to the top of Mount Rigi. You'll get a boat ride across Lake Luzern and up the mountain on a cog train. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, the trip is included.

Thanks for the replies. It's been really helpful. I think I have it figured out now.

jerry,

Although you've got it figured out, I also agree with jules suggestion to split your time between the Berner Oberland and Lucerne. In addition to Mt. Rigi, you could also visit Mt. Pilatus via cogwheel Funicular or cable car (spectacular views!).
