Zurich airport is closer time wise and has more flights. But GVA has 2 Easyjet flights, ZRH has none.

There’s also direct flights from Basel to Nice. Use kayak.com to test all options.

those Alps we love so much get in the way which is why flying is so much easier. Going by train would take longer... 9 hours 27 minutes.
Leave Wengen 6:33, via Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken Ost to Spiez to Milano Centrale and then direct to Nice.
Arrive 16:00.
Pretty scenery.
Later trains in the day take much longer.
