Hi,
My girlfriend and I are taking a two week trip to Europe from Italy to France with a stop in Switzerland. We are treating Switzerland as a middle way point in the trip between the other two and plan on taking in the views of the Valley. However, we are not quite sure where we want to stay in the region as our situation is tough as we are going August 1-3 in the region. We realize we are going in peak travel time but we want to get the most scenery out of this part of the trip. Any advice on where to stay and what to do in this region for the time of year would be much appreciated!

If you're going to Switzerland, go to the Alps- the Berner Oberland area. Stay in Lauterbrunen, or further up in Wengen or Murren. Review the threads here on the Forum under the Switzerland section, look at the RS tour itinerary, watch the RS Swiss videos, and get the RS guide book.
