Travel from Lucerne to Lake Como Italy

There is one direct train to the city of Como on Lake Como daily, and many with a single connection in Arth-Goldau. You can see them by going to www.sbb.ch/en. click on the red ticket icon to to see the price if you have a Half Fare card. If you don't have one, double that price.

The train stops at Como S. Giovanni station, which is on the side of a hill on the west side of town. You can take a bus to the lake shore, or a taxi. From the lake shore, you can get a ferry to other towns on Lake Como. You can also get buses from the station to towns on the west shore of the lake, or to Bellagio on the east shore of the southwest arm of the lake.

Don't rent a car unless you plan on returning to Switzerland to drop it off, although Lugano, Switzerland is close by. Where are you going after that?
