Travel by train Zurich to Lauterbrunnen

My wife and I plan to travel by train from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen on Saturday, June 1. Our desired train leaves the Zurich airport midday. This will be the only day we plan to travel by train while in Switzerland, so I am not interested in purchasing the Half-Fare Travelcard. Would it be best to purchase tickets ahead of time (SBB website) or at the airport after our plane arrives? If ahead of time, I am having difficulty finding the cost for a full fare train ticket on the SBB website. The site only gives the cost of a Half Fare Travelcard. ticket.

Buy a Saver Day Pass now.

The SBB site does indeed show the Half Fare Card price on the initial page. 42.40 CHF. This is exactly half the regular fare of 84.80CHF. It appears any SuperSaver fares for advance purchase are gone for June 1, but those are limited to one particular train so not a good idea for arrival day at the airport. However, right now you can get a Saver Day Pass for June 1 for 70 CHF, which would save you a bit, and it is good on any train or route you want to take that day.

The price of these goes up as the date approaches.

Once you get to Lauterbrunnen how are you planning on getting around or leaving if you’re never using any other trains?
