Transportation in Jangfrau region

Hello!

We will be in the Jungfrau region for two and a half days (3 nights). I know nothing about transportation in this area. We are taking a car in but leaving it parked while we are there. Would it be best to day a two day unlimited transportation pass or pay per use? We will be staying near interlaken but would like to take take transportation to see the area and the alps. Not sure what people normal do. Thanks!

Normally people don't have a car, but get passes. The minimum number of days is 3 days for both the Jungfrau Pass and the Berner Oberland Pass.

Thanks @sam. So if I only need transportation for two full days would it be best to get single use? Thanks again

If you want complete flexibility get Saver Day Passes for each day. For September you should be able to get the lowest price (29 CHF).

Thank you @lola. How far in advance should I purchase? I assume I purchase online ahead of time for best price or should I wait until I am there?

A Saver Day Pass will not help much, as it only covers the GA area. You can only get as far as Grindelwald, Muerren, or Wengen and not get higher up into the mountains.

Just buy tickets as you go. If it is pouring rain for 3 days, you will not have to spend too much money.

And it depends on where else in Switzerland you will be going, and what exactly your plans are in the Berner Oberland. One trip to the Jungfraujoch and a Half Fare Card for 120 CHF will pay for itself.
