Transalpin train -- luggage?

I saw an article in the NYT today (behind a paywall -- https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/26/travel/train-routes-europe.html) that listed 5 scenic train routes including this one from Zurich to Graz. I am interested in it for next summer and was wondering if anyone has taken it and if so what you thought? There are only 3 articles on this forum with Transalpin in them and all are several years old.

Also the panorama car looks like the way to go but because of the big windows online pictures of the carriage show there is no luggage storage above the seats. Is there luggage storage somewhere on the train, and is it safe?

In the panorama car, luggage goes in the space between the seat backs.
On all trains keep your passport, money on you and material things you can't afford to lose under the seat in front of you.
Theft happens when a train stops and no one is paying attention.
