These are my points of reservations/stays which train or passes should we get? We want a fast train from Milan to Zermatt and from Genevavto Paris in order to make the most of our travel time! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

some people rate scenery over time, what I think you are saying is that time beats scenery. Is that right? Is it ok if the non-scenic ride is in a very long tunnel for a significant part of the trip?

Do you need a train from Milan to Zermatt? Or from Malpensa Airport to Zermatt?

Best you can do going to Zermatt from Milan is an EC train from Milano Centrale to either Brig or Visp, then a train to Zermatt. None of these are particularly high speed, but the EC train is direct. Visp to Zermatt is always the same slow cog wheel, narrow gage train up the mountain valley.

From Milano Centrale or Malpensa airport? Right now, EC trains are not showing on the schedule yet for July, but regional trains are.

In July the line is going to be partly closed again for engineering works, just like last summer. So you will probably be travelling on a rail substitution coach, and going by last year it won't be till at leas may that we will learn of its schedule...
