Does anyone have experience getting from Locarno to Zermatt via trains? Is it worth taking the extra time to go the more scenic route or is the quickest way scenic as well? Thanks in advance for any input.
The quickest way is also the most scenic. Centovalli Railway to Domodossola, then train to either Brig or Visp, then train to Zermatt. At Brig, the train to Zermatt is outside the station in the street.
Thanks Sam. I'm assuming these trains are included in the Swiss Pass, and the total travel time is under 5 hours. I really appreciate you sharing your travel knowledge.
Yes, all covered by the STP. Takes 4 hours.
